Sustainability is the future
The construction sector is a major contributor to carbon emissions and waste. We all have a role to play in protecting and restoring the natural environment and even the smallest changes can make a difference. By working together, and by changing our behaviours and habits, we can provide a cleaner, greener and safer world for future generations.
But ‘Sustainability’ is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Our aim is to set out realistic goals, to provide an overarching framework and empower our workers to take action to deliver a better future for the UK. We are now developing a sustainability plan to ensure we address specific challenges in our work and leave a positive legacy in the environments we work within.
The core of sustainability at GAE Construction centres around three future aims:
- Beyond Net Zero Carbon
- Generate Zero Waste
- Positively Impact The Communities We Work In
Our goals set out above provide the direction of our sustainability plan as we look to impove our environmental footprint in the future.
It is our ambition to continue our development of a construction company which has the future in mind. We look to ensure the environment, community and construction practices can evolve together in a way which meets the need of each area without causing future damage to our planet. This mindset is embedded accross our company as we progress our sustainability framework from both a social and environmental perspective.
To further this work GAE Construction strive to work with UK based suppliers where possible, supporting UK economy and reducing carbon emissions through industrial shipments.
