At GAE Construction we take the responsibility of health and safety very seriously. We operate strictly within UK health and safety legislation to prevent any incidents occurring. We believe that a workforce who takes this commitment to health and safety seriously can prevent all workplace incidents. It is with this ethos that we outline our health and safety strategy which seeks to support and protect all employees. We will ensure that all necessary steps are taken to identify and mitigate all workplace risks to ensure our workers are protected at all times. Along with the physical safety of our staff, we are committed to providing mental health support in the workplace to achieve a healthy, safe and productive working environment. Both Garry and Eric are committed to providing strong, visible and active leadership within this area, among others. ▪ Review all workplace environments to Identify and address workplace safety and health hazards.
▪ Ensure training is provided for all employees to safely carry out their tasks.
▪ Give employees the ability to question practices and voice concern over any work they consider to be unsafe.
▪ Provide appropriate systems to integrate health, safety and employee wellbeing into business decisions and future planning.
▪ Carry out oversight and assessment of stakeholders, partners and our supply chain members to ensure that our health and safety practices are being mirrored across all levels of our operations to ensure workforce safety and wellbeing.
▪ Comply with all requirements outlined by UK legislation, standards and codes of practice which guide our industry operations and workplace standards.
▪ Submit quarterly reports of health, safety and wellbeing performance and continue development plans to improve efficiency in the future.
▪ Organise support services to workforce including occupational health, benefits, and wellbeing.
▪ Approach health and safety policy with transparency by regularly updating employees, stakeholders, business partners and members of the public.
▪ Work closely with clients to meet their requirements with regards to occupational health, working hours and fatigue management.
▪ Run thorough analysis and post-incident response on any incidents and non-conformances and take steps to address the cause of the health and safety issue to prevent recurrence.
